Michael Frank Park was born July 20, 1968.  He was a "rambunctious" child who grew up with a brother and two sisters in Canandaigua, NY. He attended Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, planning on becoming an architect, until his girlfriend (and future wife) Laurie Nowak persuaded him to try out for musical-theater roles.  He then began to pursue acting as a profession.

Michael and his wife Laurie, who he married Jan. 6, 1996, live with their children in upstate New York. Laurie is a musical therapist. They are the parents to three children; Christopher Michael (b. 6/21/97), Kathleen Rose (b.2/14/00) and Annabelle Jayne (b.4/05/04).   In his free time, Michael enjoys playing golf and softball.

After college, Michael did local theater and a national tour.  He then moved to New York City, where he  worked steadily in theater. When the prime-time soap 13 Bourbon St., in which he was to star, wasn't picked up in 1997, he joined As the World Turns as former FBI agent Jack Snyder.  Originally he had auditioned for the part of Paul Ryan but did not get that part. He quickly became a favorite with the fans and remained in the role as Detective Jack Snyder until the end of As the World Turns in 2010.  The show will leave the air on September 17.

Michael was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2001 and for Best Lead Actor in 2007.  His Soap Opera Digest Awards Nominations were; Outstanding Younger Leading Man (1999) and Best Male Newcomer (1998.)  He was also nominated for Favorite Couple, with Maura West (Carly) in 2001.  In 2010 Michael was again nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor and was named the winner.

Michael is also known for his great singing voice which the fans always love to hear.  He frequently attends fan events and performs at various specialty events and charity functions.

In recent years Michael has renewed his interest in theater again.  Michael did a workshop presentation of Pure Country, the  Broadway-bound musical based on the movie of the same name. It still has yet to debut on Broadway.  In the workshop Michael played the leading character Rusty, a country singer who reassesses his life.  The workshop  culminated in three private industry presentations. 

In 2010 Michael again returned to the stage and starred in the Off-Broadway production of The Burnt Part Boys.  In August he will appear at the renowned Williamstown Theatre Festival  production of  The Last Goodbye: A Musical Adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet.  With the end of As the World Turns, .Michael will actively be pursuing his theater career again.

Michael has also been a part of 2 new web series, Gotham and Steamboat.
